We worked with John on a large renovation project for a 100 year old home in Bergen County.  We were expanding a small galley kitchen (250 sq ft) to build out a 1,000+ sq ft kitchen (completely moving all the gas lines, water lines, removing multiple walls and adding a laundry room), we had to bring the back stair case to code while keeping this aesthetically appropriate for the style of the home (this is a lot more challenging than it sounds!), and completely gut our master suite / master bathroom which happened to be sagging into our kitchen (major structural issues which were not caught during our inspection).  Clearly not a small project! 

John really listened to what we wanted. We knew from Day 1 and our first meeting that he was there to listen….not to push his vision or aesthetic / design preferences.  We appreciated that he balanced our requests with also offering his views when we needed an expert opinion.  It’s nice not to be told, “well it’s your project so it’s your choice.”  We really liked how he became a part of the team and really helped us along the decision process.  

John worked very well with our contractor and designer and came up with a few plans.  We worked in two phases and had no issues with timing or execution.  John was always available, very easy to communicate with, and was always available when our contractor / designer had any questions.  We really enjoyed working with John, he had great suggestions and made sure the process was simple / efficient.  It’s nice working with someone honest and reliable which is difficult to get in the building process!
